Adolscent Parenting

Giving proper guidance to an adolescent is really a tough job. Children, now, form their own identity and they think themselves to be an adult. Though they look upon their friends and other adults as role models, parents still have a great impact on their children. Parents should continue giving guidance and adequate freedom to their children. But freedom should be a little restrained as newfound freedom can be highly risky. Parents should be competent enough to tackle these teenagers.

The result of successful or unsuccessful parenting can be seen in a grown-up child’s personality. The various decisions that these young adult take, regarding their work life and personal life, reflects the type of parenting the child has received.

When the child grows up into an adult, they still remain a child in the eyes of their parents. Parenting still continues at this stage. This relationship can be developed and continued with the spouses of their children and also with the grandchildren.

We can say that there are four universal styles of parenting. Each of this method is different from the other and has different levels of demand and responsibility. The result of parenting is also different in each style. There are many institutions as well as individuals who provide time-to-time assistance to the parents. If the need arises, the government also provides timely assistance to the parents. At the end, we can say that parenting means bringing up and educating a child right from birth to adulthood.
